Happy Birthday!

It is so nice to have some time off at Christmas!  I have not left my home for the past three days!  Who needs to leave when I have all the scrapbooking supplies to keep me busy for several months.  Well, okay a 50% Michaels coupon is a good reason to venture into the cold frigid air.


Anyway, here is a card I made for my brother's birthday next month.  The inspiration for the card was the Mojo Monday sketch. As you can tell from my posts I love the Cricut. I used the Sweet Treats cartridge for the cupcake and Accent Essentials for the rosette.  I inked the paper using Tim Holtz distressing inks. Pirate

My daughter has a birthday party to go to this weekend, so I decided to make the card.  I found some pirate paper at the $1 store so decided to go with the pirate theme.  The figure is from the Cricut cartridge paper dolls (one of my favourite cartridges).

Let It Snow!

Well, here is yet another holiday card.  This one seemed to take forever as I kept changing things, such as first the background was white but it looked too stark.  I am happy with how the card turned out.  The snowflakes and paper are from Michaels.  I used the Cricut cartridge Stretch Your Imagination for the image.

Winter Wonderland

So here is another holiday card.  I used the cricut cartridge Stretch Your Imagination for the snowman, snowflake and the tree.  I added glitter and chalking to add dimension.  My main inspiration was the Mojo Monday sketch.  I love using sketches as I get more inspired than starting with a blank canvas.

Merry Christmas!

Well, I finally have found the time to get creative once again but only by luck.  The little one fell asleep early, so I decide to take some time for myself.  I made the card below for my daughter's teacher.  I used the cricut cartridges Everyday Paperdolls and Simply Charmed.  I put glitter on the snowflakes and on the clothing to add texture.

Cricut Expression

I have been drooling over the cricut expression machine for forever, hoping that one day I could buy it.  Guess what? That day has come!!!!:)  Michaels had a sale on the maching for $180, it is usually $400.  I know, what a steal.  Can't wait to see what I can create with it.

Silhouette
